These terms apply to the services of Webcontroleur, a service of Wij Vergelijken Energie (Chamber of Commerce 72898828), Hollandiaweg 1, 6541 BL Nijmegen, the Netherlands. If the Dutch and English versions differ, the Dutch version applies.
1. Service. Webcontroleur runs an automated technical scan of a website you submit and delivers a result or report. The free check only looks at what is publicly accessible. The full report (€50, one-off) adds deeper checks. On request we fix the problems found, for a fixed package price or an hourly rate agreed in advance.
2. Ownership and consent. Deeper checks (touching login, the database or the payment integration) run only after you prove you control the domain, with a DNS record or a file on your site. By requesting a scan you confirm you are allowed to have that website checked. Testing systems without permission is a criminal offence in the Netherlands (Art. 138ab Sr), so we never run deeper checks without verified ownership.
3. Fixing. We only work on your website on your written instruction, stating the domains and the package. We use a temporary account with minimal rights, make a backup first and never ask for passwords by email.
4. No warranty. A scan is a point-in-time check, not a full security audit, certification or legal advice. A good result does not guarantee your site is secure. You remain responsible for your website.
5. Liability. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, except in case of intent or gross negligence.
6. Right of withdrawal. A report is a digital service. With your express consent we start right after your order, and you waive the 14-day cooling-off period once the report has been delivered.
7. Payment. Via Stripe or by invoice. Amounts shown are before any VAT. You see the total before you pay.
8. Governing law. Dutch law applies.
